一、撰写要求( request for writing )
英文题目:全部大写。
英文作者:姓全大写,名首字母大写,其余字母小写,姓在前,名在后,双名中间加连字符;每个作者间用逗号分开,在最后一个作者前加 “and” ;通讯作者在姓名右上加上标 “ ﹡ ”。不同研究机构的作者在姓名右上标以数字序号区分。
英文地址:列出作者所在的研究机构,不同研究机构作者用相应作者序号标在单位名称前;地址包括单位名称全称、所在城市、邮政编码和国家,全部斜体;不同单位间用逗号分割,在最后一个单位前加 “and” 。
撰写内容: 《植物生态学报》英文摘要撰写要求:突出论文的主题和应用范围,充分反映并突出该研究的创新之处。原始研究论文英文摘要内容包括 3 部分,分别是:目的、方法和主要结果( 综述和论坛除外 ),字数限制在 450字以内。
目的部分必须包括至少一个 objective 或 aim ,而不仅仅是此研究的 background,为了更清楚地表明,可以用类似 “Our objective was...” 这样的话来表明 “Aims” 。
English abstract of Journal of Plant Ecology must be not more than 450 words, including three parts: Aims , Methods and Important findings (reviews and forums should omit Methods ). Aims should briefly state the context and primary objectives of the study. Methods should concisely state the location (for field studies) and major techniques and procedures used in the study. Important findings should take up no more than half of the abstract and summarize only the most important results and their significance. Three to five Key Words should be supplied after the abstract for indexing purposes.

Studying beta diversity: ecological variation partitioning by multiple regression and canonical analysis

Abstract Aim Beta diversity is the variation in species composition among sites in a geographic region. Beta diversity is a key concept for understanding the functioning of ecosystems, for the conservation of biodiversity, and for ecosystem management. This paper describes how to analyze it from community composition and associated environmental and spatial data tables.
Methods Beta diversity can be studied by computing diversity indices for each site and testing hypotheses about the factors that may explain the variation among sites. Or, one can carry out a direct analysis of the community composition data table over the study sites, as a function of sets of environmental and spatial variables. These analyses are carried out by the statistical method of partitioning the variation of the diversity indices or the community composition data table with respect to environmental and spatial variables.
Important findings Variation partitioning is a method of choice for the interpretation of beta diversity using tables of environmental and spatial variables. Beta diversity can be used to compare either different sampling areas or different ecological communities co-occurring in an area. Partitioning must be based upon unbiased estimates of the variation of the community composition data table that is explained by the various tables of explanatory variables.The adjusted coefficient of determination provides such an unbiased estimate in both multiple regression and canonical redundancy analysis. After partitioning, one can test the significance of the fractions of interest and plot maps of the fitted values corresponding to these fractions.
