檵木(Loropetalum chinense)灌丛是中国亚热带地区广泛分布的植被类型, 具有水源涵养、固土护坡和生物多样性保育等重要生态功能。然而, 关于该灌丛群落特征与植被分类, 仍然缺乏全国尺度上的系统性研究。该研究于2011-2019年在檵木灌丛分布区的典型地段采集了238个样方数据, 结合中国经典植被分类和数量分类方法, 对檵木灌丛的群落类型进行划分, 并定量描述其群落结构、分布特征与生境条件。主要结果: (1)檵木灌丛主要分布于海拔35-1 480 m的中低山地与丘陵; 区域内年平均气温13.6-20.7 ℃, 最冷月平均气温1.6-11.7 ℃, 年降水量957-1 802 mm, 湿润指数0.9-1.0; 土壤主要有红壤、黄壤、赤红壤、黄棕壤、石灰(岩)土等, pH 3.71-9.08。(2)记录到维管植物598种, 隶属105科318属; 种子植物有92科297属, 其中热带分布属占52.5%, 温带分布属占38.1%; 群落中木本植物物种数占67.4%, 常绿木本占比略高于落叶木本, 草本植物中多年生草本和蕨类物种数约占80%。(3)灌木层平均盖度80%, 平均高度1.7 m, 平均物种丰富度12, 檵木重要值33%, 在群落中为优势种或共优势种; 草本层平均盖度33%, 平均高度0.5 m, 平均物种丰富度4; 苔藓层平均盖度27%, 高度0.3-2.0 cm。(4)檵木灌丛群系划分为6个群丛组, 34个群丛; 依据其群落结构和生态特征, 该群系可划分到低山丘陵暖性常绿阔叶灌丛群系组, 属暖性常绿阔叶灌丛植被亚型、常绿阔叶灌丛植被型。该研究为理解中国檵木灌丛的生态地位及制定保护优先性提供了数据支撑, 同时为区域生物多样性保护和可持续管理提供了科学依据。
