中国科学院鄂尔多斯沙地草地生态研究站(简称“鄂尔多斯生态站”)位于鄂尔多斯高原中南部荒漠化严重的农牧交错带上, 是温带草原地带性沙地草地生态系统的典型代表。该区域位于多层次、复杂的生态地理过渡带, 物种组成中具有十分丰富的特有种和孑遗种, 由于近50年来气候变化和不断增强的人类活动导致草地退化和土地沙化, 严重影响该区域可持续发展。长期的植被定位观测数据有助于开展区域内植被与环境变化的响应、植被演替与重建方面的研究。因此, 该文整理了2004-2010年鄂尔多斯生态站2个长期监测样地的植物群落人工观测调查数据, 涵盖样地背景与植被分类、灌木层种类组成、灌木层群落特征、草本层种类组成、草本层群落特征。该数据集可为开展鄂尔多斯高原植物区系研究、区域生态系统结构与功能解析、植被演替与恢复机制等生态学基础研究提供科学依据。
